Symbolic of youth plunging into life. Umlauf’s son Arthur, a noted dare devil, was the model and loved swimming at the nearby Barton Springs. The location of this piece by the pond is particularly fitting. Made directly in plaster for bronze. Cast in bronze in 1960.
