The beautifully landscaped Umlauf Sculpture Garden provides the perfect setting for weddings, private receptions, corporate dinners and meetings, and various intimate gatherings. Located near the heart of downtown, the Umlauf is a true Austin treasure sure to delight your guests.
Under a canopy of trees, paths wind through the xeriscaped garden and past the sculptures of Charles Umlauf. Bridges span a sparkling stream and an arbor specially designed for wedding ceremonies overlooks a water lily pond and a vista of wooded slopes.
The covered terrace, which opens out to the upper pond and rushing waterfall, provides a beautiful natural setting for your event and is equipped with a full catering kitchen. Surrounded by the beauty of the garden yet protected from the weather, the terrace will accommodate up to 200 people for a seated ceremony or standing cocktail event, or 120 people at dinner tables. Larger groups also use the uncovered portion of the dinner table and/or adjacent lawns to seat up to 250 total.
The glass-enclosed Roberta Crenshaw Building will accommodate 40 people for a small event, and approximately 30 for a seated dinner. Casual and elegant, the Umlauf Sculpture Garden accommodates all types of events with just a simple change of the tablecloth from gingham to damask.
