The Garden Party celebrates the art of sculpture and the work of 20th century American sculptor, Charles Umlauf. Proceeds from the party are dedicated to the the Umlauf’s education programs and its long-term garden restoration project.

Back by popular demand, the 2011 Garden Party featured lively music by the festive Nash Hernandez Orchestra and Master of Ceremonies, Stuart Moulton.

Fine Food and Wine

Twenty or more of Austin’s fine restaurants served delectable samplings of their cuisine, paired with complementing wines generously provided by Twin Liquors and served with style by Lucky 13.

Unique Auction Treasures

Unique to the Garden Party is the Celebrity Seeds Auction, featuring decorated terra cotta pots and small garden containers created and/or decorated by local celebrities and well-known Austinites. This one-of-a-kind auction was, once again, a bit hit!  In addition to Celebrity Seed Pots, the Silent Auction featured original pieces of art, eclectic items, and specialty services from local businesses, proceeds all benefitting the Umlauf. Big ticket items this year included a personal voicemail message recording by Willie Nelson and a Texas Legends Autographed Guitar signed by the following:
